About us

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of their group of companies, at the close of 1984, Gunther and Ingrid Schroff created the Schroff Foundations out of their private fortune. For the Schroff GmbH and its subsidiaries, Mr. and Mrs. Schroff set an exemplary high standard, technologically, scientifically and socially speaking. This attitude was also to be reflected in their Foundations. Their declared aim was to exploit entrepreneurial success for socially important scientific causes and in the interests of society.

The Foundations are represented in legal and financial matters by the Gunther Schroff Foundation Administration GmbH as trustees.
Each of the two Foundations is managed by a Foundation Board of Management. This is responsible for the subsidisation guidelines, the apportioning of subsidies, and the monitoring of their charitable use by the recipients.
